A middle school based project – we work with partner schools to identify a group of students who will benefit most from the project. Each group meets on a monthly basis, beginning in October and continuing through the school year. Areas of focus include group development skills such as communication, trust, and teamwork, contribution to the community, career development and Environmania - our Environmental Education project funded by the NB ETF.
Programs are delivered in schools by a network of volunteers, most of whom are teachers in the respective schools where each program operates. Partners for Youth also engages community volunteers to support the delivery of the school-based program. This project aimed at youth at risk is designed to engage and empower youth to stay in school and stay connected to their community. Up to 20 middle schools across New Brunswick take part in this initiative.
