En facilitant l’accès aux ressources d’aide, nous voulons offrir à l’individu la possibilité de résoudre ses difficultés avant qu’elles ne s’aggravent et le conduisent à des situations plus sérieuses.

I am setting the intention that this is going to be the best mental health week for MY mental health. I have found myself each year joking about how I’ll need a mental health week to recover from Mental Health Week (and then never actually take a week or even some time off to recharge). If I’ve learned anything it’s that “later” never seems to come when we push self-care onto the back burner.
I am challenging you to take care of your mental health this Mental Health Week. Even if you’re on the road each day, even if it feels like you have a million things to coordinate and plan, we need to be leading by example and driving ourselves into the ground to execute a perfect Mental Health Week is NOT worth it.
Here’s the list of things I’m going to do this week to fill my cup back up:
- Follow a Youtube yoga video for at least 10 minutes each morning when I wake up and before bed to wind down (Yoga with Adriene is amazing for quick and accessible videos for all levels!) - Bike to work each day to fit in some exercise - Let good enough be good enough – not taking the extra 15 minutes to play around with fonts and formatting on Instagram posts and PowerPoint slides - Ask for help – even if it would be faster and feels like it would be easier to just do it myself - Drink less coffee and more water
Look for the things that will make a 5% difference. Plan for some down time next week to recharge. Most of all don’t forget to celebrate all the wins this week and the amazing things you accomplish!
